NET is abbreviated for National Entrance Test. The test is conducted by the National Law University, Jodhpur, Rajasthan. It is the fifth National University for Legal education in the country following the institutions at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Bhopal and Kolkata.
University Grants Commission invites online applications for the UGC NET Exam 2011 at their official website link ugcnetonline.in. The National Eligibility Test for the Eligibility of Lectureship & Junior Research Fellowship will be taken in this summer.
i) Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities / institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test.
NET Exam June 2011 – Important Dates
Application Submission will be started from 29-03-2011to 25-04-2011.
Last date for receiving the documents* at the test center: 02-05-2011
Entrance exam will be held on 26-06-2011.
Exam Fee: Rs.450/- For General candidates, Rs. 225/- For OBC (Non-creamy layer) and Rs. 110/-. For SC/ ST/ PH/ VH candidates.
The question paper will be based on the following subjects:
1. Linguistic ability
2. Analytical skills
3. Level of quantum of information
4. Mathematical aptitude
5. Legal reasoning
6. Aptitude for learning law
