There are many colleges under several universities that provide this branch of study in India. Some of them are Institute Btech Agriculture, Anna University: College of Engineering (Chennai), Kerala Agricultural University (Vellanikkara) and Andhra University College of Engineering (Vishakapatnam). The importance of Agricultural Universities have enhanced tremendously in the recent years as the development of the agricultural field has seen a sharp decline for over a decade now. It has not been able to keep pace with the other fields of the Indian economy although nearly 60% workforce is employed with agriculture in India.
