BITSAT is conducted online. Candidates will have to sit in front of a computer and the answers with keyboard, mouse and basic computer operations. Questions will be from a question bank in the server that has been developed by experts. Each question set is unique but is also at par with other sets that are generated in terms of difficulty level and content.
BITSAT exam will be of 3-hour and there is no break in between. It will have four sections and a total of 150 questions will be generated.
There are 150 objective questions and every question will have four options. For every correct answer a candidate will get 3 marks; while 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer.
The question paper will be based on the following subjects:
Physics-40 Questions, Chemistry-40 Questions, English Proficiency-15 Questions, Logical Reasoning-10 Questions, Mathematics-45 Questions
Questions in BITSAT are objective-type, multiple-choice questions. Candidates can skip questions or go back to correct questions attempted before.
There is no time limit for an individual section of BITSAT and all 150 questions can be attempted in any order you like. Computer does not allow you to choose more than one option.
Candidates will have to attempt 150 questions in 180 minutes. If candidates have done 150 answers without skipping any of them, then they will get an option to attempt 12 extra questions – 4 each from Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. Students can not correct 150 questions, they answered before while attempting these 12 questions.
These 12 questions are given to score higher. BITSAT has negative marking.
